Nine Ontario teachers receive the Prime Minister’s Award for Teacher Excellence

  • Stan Hunter, Orchard Park Secondary School, Stoney Creek
  • Susan Raponi, George Peck Public School, Toronto
  • Maureen Sims, St. Bonaventure Catholic School, Toronto
  • Asa Schoonderbeek, Williamsburg Public School, Whitby

In total, 54 teachers from across Canada received the award.

The Prime Minister’s Awards for Teaching Excellence recognize outstanding elementary and secondary school teachers in all disciplines who, through the innovative use of information and communications technologies, help Canadian students to meet the challenges of a 21st century society and economy.
