OTF Connects offers online support sessions on a variety of topics that are relevant to your teaching. More sessions will be added throughout the coming months, so check back frequently.

Teaching and Learning in the 21st Century
This broad selection of sessions that may include topics that fall under other categories as well. These sessions provide the opportunity to examine ways to deepen student learning through technology-enhanced critical inquiry. Many sessions will support teachers in increasing their knowledge of various technologies. All sessions will provide ideas and practical examples for teachers.
Minds on Media
Minds On Media (MOM) is a model of professional learning that respects the learner’s ‘desire to know’. Minds on Media sessions offered through OTF Connects will focus on empowering participants to gain expertise in both the content and the resources to continue their learning afterwards. These webinars will be interactive, conversational and full of practical ideas. Sessions will be ‘learner focused’, so bring your enthusiasm, challenges, questions and scenarios!
Critical Thinking
These sessions are offered in partnership with The Critical Thinking Consortium (TC2), and are designed to assist teachers in developing a deeper understanding of critical thinking and its applications in their classrooms. These sessions will be most effective for teachers who have attended a critical thinking conference or summer workshop offered through OTF. Registrants are welcome to submit one of their own critical thinking challenges for tweaking and fortifying.
Financial Literacy
These financial literacy workshops are offered in partnership with the Investor Education Fund (IEF) and the Financial Consumer Agency of Canada (FCAC). These sessions will share a number of ideas resources that support teachers in bringing financial literacy education into all areas of their teaching.
