that comes to mind is your pension. There are numerous resources
available to assist you. Check out the OTF website page on
pensions. As well, the Ontario
Teachers’ Pension Plan (OTTP) has a wealth of information.
As to the provisions for retirement and the requirements for
notice of retirement, you should contact your local bargaining
unit.
At the same time, check with your bargaining unit concerning
retirement benefits which might be available though your local
school board. Otherwise, for health benefits, consider the
Retired Teachers of Ontario
(RTO) or the Ontario
Teachers’ Insurance Plan (OTIP).
Remember that there are implications on pensions for teachers
who retire and return to teach. You can check this out on
