Making the Links: Promoting Wellbeing in our Schools

The Ontario Teachers’ Federation (OTF), with support from the Ministry of Education, presents a professional learning event for educators looking to explore creative and effective ways to promote wellbeing in our schools.

This two-day conference, for educators in elementary and secondary classrooms, will have opportunities to learn about and explore a host of strategies and resources to promote wellbeing in the classroom.

Keynote address by Susan Stewart, a comedian, author, and professional speaker who has spent the last decade entertaining and inspiring people to see the lighter side of life.

Conference attendees will also be able to select from the scheduled break-out sessions which will dive more deeply into practical strategies and resources to support staff and students in development of effective wellbeing habits and skills.

The sessions will include

  • anxiety goes to school
  • managing stress in the workplace
  • finding balance
  • mindfulness: outside the classroom walls
  • empowering minds
  • cultivating resilience
  • work-life balance
  • trauma informed practices in schools
  • introduction to Tai Chi
  • and much more ….

Release time, accommodations, meals and travel subsidy will all be provided through the reimbursable $50.00 registration fee.
