Come Together, Over Math!
Building a comprehensive numeracy program in Grade 7 and 8 French Immersion. Our group met to explore and develop mental math problems, 3-part math lessons, games centres, technology-based math resources and a division-wide Mathapalooza celebration.

Exploring Spatial Reasoning Through Coding
Area(s) of Focus: mathLevel(s): Kindergarten, Grade 1, Grade 2, Grade 3, Grade 4, Grade 5, Grade 6Resource(s) Available:Teachers/students will learn how to code as a tool for learning. Teachers will engage in professional learning opportunities on how to use the various coding apps and tools and collaborate with a lead teacher to support implementation in class.

Improving the Numeracy Mindset of Grade 9 Math Students
If students work on problems stemming from an overarching learning goal through various strategies, then the students will be motivated and demonstrate their understanding while cultivating their growth mindset.

Facilitating all Students to Move Toward Self-Assessment and Self-Regulating in Math
Teachers and students co-created success criteria and a single-point rubric to work through problem-solving questions and self-assessing their own work. Students were able to determine their own next steps using either process or task feedback.

Junior Level Assessment for, as and of Learning in Patterning and Algebra
A junior level math project with a focus on using the PRIME math diagnostic to establish student learning on a continuum. Using a problem-solving approach, lessons are scaffolded so assessment as learning guides student learning.
