ExpiredCivics and Beyond! Wizards and Trains for Your Civics and Politics Classroom

Wondering how to support political thinking, collaboration and democratic participation? We will explore two activities at the heart of political participation. In Does Voting Matter?, students participate in a series of voting simulations that help them to experience the effects of voting and understand political perspectives. In Civic Action: Then and Now, students analyze a model for civic action that engages them in thinking about objectives and results. We will explore these two lessons through discussion and sharing of best practices in political thinking.
