This session explores the use of children’s literature to promote critical thinking, enhance literacy development and encourage social responsibility. Participants will be introduced to Thoughtful Books, and to the literacy pedagogy behind the development of these TC2 resources. Participants will be encouraged to consider ways to “tweak” their current literature activities in order to enrich students’ thinking.
NOTE: This session is intended for participants who have had a basic introduction to the TC2 model of critical thinking.
