ExpiredFostering Critical Thinking in Elementary Math

How can critical thinking help your students learn mathematics?  In this session, we will investigate ways teachers can use different types of critical challenges to engage diverse learners in reasoning and communicating about mathematics.  We will also explore the power of critical thinking to support self-regulated learning and build students’ confidence in using a strategic approach to posing and solving mathematical problems.

NOTE: This session will be most beneficial to those who are familiar with the TCmodel of critical thinking.
