Part 1: More Than Just a Passing Grade – A Strengths-Based Approach to Educator Well-being and Flourishing School Cultures

In this session teachers will learn the basic building blocks of Positive Psychology’s model of well-being (Flourishing) including the 24 Character Strengths and 6 Virtues, the 10 Positive Emotions and the PERMA-V model of Flourishing as it pertains to physical, cognitive, social and emotional well-being. Notions of resilience as the ability to authentically experience adversity and strategies to cognitively and emotionally pivot perspective will also be discussed. Positive problem-solving and strategies to use humor and laughter to boost resilience will be share throughout.
