What factors, both human and physical, help to determine electoral boundaries? How are we part of a federal electoral community? How does my community compare to others? Take part in two activities that can help your students develop geographic thinking. In Geography of Elections, students will identify patterns and trends in electoral districts across Canada. In Mapping Electoral Boundaries, students will try to draw fair electoral boundaries that consider the inter-relationships between geographic factors. These two activities provide grounds for rich geographic thinking.
