Last year, the Prime Minister’s Awards (PMA) program celebrated its 20th anniversary. Since its creation in 1993, the program has been promoting the remarkable accomplishments of outstanding elementary and secondary school teachers, and, since 2002, of early-childhood educators. Thus far, over 1,600 remarkable educators have been honoured and more than 1,200 schools and centres recognized.
A reminder that if you would like to nominate an outstanding educator for 2014, the deadline for nominations is April 15th. Guidelines and nomination forms are available at www.pma.gc.ca.
