OTF is very proud of its charitable initiatives that help others achieve their goals.
Several years ago, the Ontario Teachers’ Federation (OTF) made the decision to choose annually an organization or charity to support in lieu of mailing festive cards. That charity this year is Community Living Ontario.
Community Living Ontario is a family-based association assisting people who have an intellectual disability and their families to lead the way in advancing inclusion in their own lives and in their communities. The organization envisions a society where people who have an intellectual disability belong, have equal rights, respect and acceptance, a sense of self-worth and opportunities for growth.
OTF supports numerous other charitable organizations and groups dedicated to social justice and equity annually such as Frontier College, Kids Help Phone, Children’s Mental Health Ontario, and the Stephen Lewis Foundation.
Thanks to the generosity of OTF staff, numerous organizations have received support during the past year, including the Canadian Cancer Society, Adopt a Family and the Daily Bread Food Bank.
