This course is created to offer candidates the opportunity to further expand their understanding of career development and post-secondary pathways planning. The course places emphasis on essential Ministry documents and Ontario College of Teacher standards while presenting students with a variety of key resources connected to the important work of Guidance Counsellors as they prepare students for successful transitions throughout their school career.

Additionally, through Guidance Part 2 candidates will begin to develop an understanding of their role in supporting mental health best practices connected to key transition points and exposing students to the wide array of resources available to encourage thoughtful and self-reflective career pathway planning from kindergarten through to Grade 12.
