Using Math Moments to Multiply Math Skills

Using Math Moments is a series of 10 webinars designed to develop conceptual understanding and to lead both students and you to being better positioned to generate algorithms to build procedural fluency. If you want to be able to reach more students by leading problem-based lessons that build conceptual understanding and procedural fluency, this webinar series is for you. K-12

Presenters: Kyle Pearce is the K-12 Mathematics Consultant with the Greater Essex County District School Board. Jon Orr is a high school math teacher at John McGregor Secondary School in the Lambton-Kent District School Board.

Make Math Moments Through Mindset, Episode 1

The webinar looks at shifting your math mindset and those of your students. You are introduced to a three-part lesson framework, with an emphasis on how to Fuel Sense Making, and a low floor/high ceiling task.
