Family Studies Senior ABQ will enable you to acquire the basic competencies necessary to teach Family Studies at the senior level. You will integrate the theoretical concepts of Family Studies education with the practical aspects of the four areas of Family Studies. You will have the opportunity to examine teaching and learning strategies suitable for adolescent learners and effective assessment and evaluation practice within the context of the Family Studies classroom. In a collaborative setting you will explore the senior curriculum and create unit plans and lessons that are classroom ready. Current issues such as critical thinking, literacy, experiential learning, community connections and special education will be examined.  See website for additional informati0n.
