The Additional Qualification Course: First Nations, Métis and Inuit Peoples – Understanding Traditional Teachings, Histories, Current Issues and Cultures, Specialist employs a critical, pedagogical lens to explore in a holistic and integrated manner theoretical foundations, program planning, development and implementation, research and ethical considerations related to teaching and learning across the divisions. This course explores leadership through emancipatory practices and critically analyzes ongoing systemic barriers in order to create educational spaces rooted in safety and wellbeing.

PAYMENT:
Course Fee: $650 for anyone outside of Dufferin-Peel District School Board

Dufferin-Peel employees:
*Any secondary DP teacher teaching an “N-coded course” (Indigenous Studies) will have their course fees waived
*All other DP employees will have a reduced cost of $450
