Guidance and Career educators will have the opportunity to explore resources and develop a deeper understanding of school mental health while furthering their understanding of their leadership role in schools.

Reviewing relevant government policies and board and school protocols, participants will build confidence in their ability to navigate various aspects of their work with a focus on school and student mental health and wellbeing.

Recognizing the dynamic and distinct nature of individual school communities, educators in the course will identify areas of need in terms of personal professional knowledge and school/student support programming related to mental health, mental illness, and wellbeing.

Additionally, through a curated list of key resources, they will build a toolkit to support the challenging, demanding, and rewarding work of Guidance and Career educators in schools.
