Family Studies Honour Specialist enables candidates to expand their knowledge and expertise in the field of Family Studies education. The implementation of the theoretical concepts of Family Studies will be addressed through the investigation of leadership and management theories. In a collaborative setting you will have the opportunity to practice your leadership skills as you lead a team of your colleagues through a curriculum project. You will reflect on your own leadership development through the creation of a leadership portfolio. Other topics of study include department management and promotion, budgeting, student success and community partnerships.
