Course Description

Mathematics Grade 7 & 8 will empower educators by fostering innovation, provide a contextualized learning experience that aligns with the Ministry of Education’s curriculum, and nurture critical thinkers with transferable skills. Educators will explore the High Impact Instructional Practices and learn creative ways to explore and understand the world through Math.

Course normally offered in partnership with specific school boards in blended sessions.

Prerequisites

1. General Certificate of Qualification and Registration (CQR) in Good Standing indicating basic qualifications in the Intermediate Division (ABQ)
2. Please Note: Documentation is not required as the ASPIRE office will verify your qualifications through the online OCT public register.

NOTE:

• If you hold a Transitional Certificate of Qualification and Registration, you cannot enroll in an Additional Qualifications course.
• Teachers trained outside of Ontario, and wishing to teach in Ontario, must be a fully registered member of the Ontario College of Teachers PRIOR to registration in an AQ.
• Exceptions to the above are made for trained teachers from other jurisdictions who do not plan to teach in Ontario. Contact [email protected] for more information.

Pre-Evaluation Option:

Pre-Evaluation is not required for this course. Our office will verify your OCT status and CQR via the online OCT Public Register.
