Candidates will learn and explore the unique characteristics and needs of the primary child and consider how to best engage them in a world impacted by technology and globalization. Candidates will consider how to create an inclusive and equitable learning environment and a classroom culture for learning grounded in culturally relevant and responsive pedagogy. Teaching and learning will focus on evidence based instruction and assessment practices that inform instruction and involve students and parents. Candidates will explore parent engagement, the use of technology, ministry policies e.g. Growing Success, FMNI guidelines, Learning for All, and student health and well-being
