Course Description

Using an integrated approach to curriculum, this course will enable teachers to receive additional qualifications for the senior division in social sciences (example: psychology, sociology, anthropology, political science, women and gender studies). Topics such as curriculum planning, teaching strategies and assessment of learning experiences for the senior division will be included in this course.

Prerequisites

1) OCT MEMBERSHIP confirming you are an OCT member with an undergraduate degree. / 2) YOUR UNDERGRADUATE/GRADUATE UNIVERSITY TRANSCRIPT(S)* / Your transcript(s) must show: The equivalent of 3.0 full undergraduate/graduate credits in History or the equivalent of 2.0 full undergraduate/graduate credits if you already hold another senior qualification. People-centred courses from many disciplines are acceptable; Psychology, Sociology, Anthropology, Women and Gender Studies, Political Science etc.
