Course Description
This course focuses on the Grade 9 and 10 Family Studies curriculum, a multidisciplinary subject encompassing fashion and housing, food and nutrition, general family studies and raising/caring for children. You will learn to instruct students in theoretical perspectives and practical research related to individual and family development. The emphasis is on planning and implementing culturally responsive, inclusive and accessible programming and assessment that supports all learners and reflects contemporary family realities.

Your transcript(s) must show: The equivalent of 2.0 full undergraduate/graduate credits related to the family. Courses from many disciplines are acceptable (i.e., Psychology, Sociology, Child & Youth Studies, Women’s Studies, Gender Studies, Health, Fashion, etc.).
