Thinking Globally and Acting Locally Through the Geo-Inquiry Process

The Geo-Inquiry Process could be implemented in any classroom, so if you teach Geography, you can implement the Geo-Inquiry Process in your classroom. This session will focus on examples from Grade 7-9 classrooms.

In this session, teachers will:

  • Learn about the 5 steps of the Geo-Inquiry Process: Ask, Collect, Visualize, Create, Act
  • Share concrete examples of what students do at each step and see examples from classrooms
  • Gain access to National Geographic’s Geo-Inquiry Educator Guide and Student Resource Packet (https://goo.gl/6JEDWF)
  • Gain access to the Geo-Inquiry Google+ Community to collaborate and share ideas
