FSL Part 2 promotes teacher learning through meaningful experiences and discoveries aimed at expanding and refining the knowledge and skills for the instruction of French as a Second Language within an engaging and sharing community. The course will build on rich discussion, sharing and the networking of a community of French-speaking educators. With the sole focus of advancing their knowledge of teaching French, course participants will collaborate together and learn from one another as they explore the content delivered in this course. As one of Canada’s two official languages, French holds an important status in elementary and secondary education in Ontario. French as a Second Language Part 2 expands on the knowledge and skills acquired in Part 1 and offers educators the opportunity to further their French language experiences. French as a Second Language Part 2 further develops theories and practices of second language acquisition and provides an advanced examination of additional French language instruction strategies to teachers who wish to deepen their ability to develop FSL programs. This course is delivered completely in French.
