Teacher Librarian Part 2 is intended for elementary or secondary teacher-librarians and/or teachers who are interested in learning more about the school library information centre within the whole school context. The course extends and reinforces the knowledge and skills from Part 1. The purpose is to prepare candidates to co-ordinate a school library information centre and to be a competent in the delivery of resource-based programs. This Additional Qualification course supports the expectations outlined in the Ministry of Education curriculum policy documents and other Ministry of Education policies. This course is open to all elementary and secondary teachers who have a basic qualification in general studies and who have completed Teacher Librarian Part 1 and one year of successful teaching experience.
