The Teaching Lifeline: Support for Educators in the Deep End,” is designed to provide essential support for elementary educators teaching subjects new to them or outside their comfort zone during the upcoming school year.

This professional learning session is designed to provide essential support for YOUR teaching of subjects that are NEW TO YOU, or OUTSIDE YOUR COMFORT ZONE for the upcoming school year.

Ontario Subject Association Executive members will lead sessions, offer time and space for your questions and provide links to supports to start the new school year with greater confidence.

ASSOCIATIONS REPRESENTED: Classical Languages (OCA), Ontario Library Association (OLA), Health & PhysEd (OASPHE, OPHEA), Geography & Environment (OAGEE), Science & Technology (STAO), Mathematics (OAME), Computers & Technology (ECOO), History and Social Studies (OHASSTA), Media Literacy (AML), Visual Arts (OAEA), Music (OMEA), and Drama & Dance (CODE).

Conference Details:

  • Date & Time: Tuesday, August 25th at 10:00 AM (Virtual)
  • Format: A 20-minute plenary session, followed by 100 minutes of concurrent breakout sessions (5 x 20-minute slots) where registrants will self select the subject association , via Zoom, that they would like connect with.
