This course supports effective education practices as they pertain to the teaching and assessment of writing. It begins with an examination of the theoretical foundations of writing, program planning, development and implementation, instructional strategies and the learning environment, assessment and evaluation and shared support for learners. Candidates will be involved in research, presentations, professional reading, writing activities and whole/small group dialogue sessions (face-to-face and online) relating to current practices and issues.
