ABQ Intermediate Geography (Queen’s, Winter 2025, Online)

January 20, 2025 to April 4, 2025

  • Category: ABQ, Online
  • Region: Central Ontario, Eastern Ontario, GTA, Northern Ontario, Outside Ontario, Southern Ontario
  • Topic: Canadian and World Studies, Social Studies/History and Geography
  • Grades: Intermediate (grades 7-10)

The Intermediate Geography Additional Basic Qualification course is designed to enrich and enhance your teaching of Intermediate Geography.

In the context of this online course, you will work with ideas, descriptions of practices, and with accounts of experiences. You will assess these ideas, practices and experiences in the light of your own experiences as it relates to the Geography classroom. You will have the opportunity to plan the practical contexts in which you can apply and more fully understand the ideas you explore in this course. This work can be seen as setting the stage and preparing the ground for reflection-in-action that may occur when investigating challenges specific to the Geography classroom.
