Intermediate Division History ABQ (Trent, Spring 2025, Online)

May 12, 2025 to June 27, 2025

  • Category: ABQ, Online
  • Region: Central Ontario, Eastern Ontario, GTA, Northern Ontario, Outside Ontario, Southern Ontario
  • Topic: Canadian and World Studies, Social Studies/History and Geography
  • Grades: Intermediate (grades 7-10)

This course will give you the qualifications to teach in the Intermediate Division (Grades 7-10). History naturally lends itself to critical inquiry and has great potential to engage students if the learning environment is interesting, engaging and relevant. This course provides a fully online and flexible learning experience that allows you to participate in interesting discussions, share resources and reflect on evidence-based innovative practices used to effectively teach history in the intermediate division. In addition to exploring the characteristics of adolescent learners, you will develop the skills and confidence to facilitate a learning environment that will use history to inspire students to better understand each other and the world they live in.
