What is Deep Learning? This session will look at Ontario’s 21st Century/Global Competencies and the 7 Principles of Innovative Learning Environments (OECD, 2015) to self-assess the learning experiences we already create for students. After discussing some examples of learning experiences where deep learning is supported, we will brainstorm ways to improve or build on learning experiences (activities) we planned for students. Share your idea for a learning activity in your class and get feedback and ideas from colleagues across the province. What digital tools might help? What resources and OTF Connect sessions might help you learn those tools? What assessment strategies might you use?
