Empowering Students Through Sense Making in Math

How often do teachers ask their students if what they are doing or thinking in math classrooms “makes sense”? The ability to determine if something makes sense in math is a way of thinking that underpins all mathematical success. In this session, we will explore practical strategies that develop this thinking capacity so that students can construct mathematical meaning and feel confident that what they are doing will lead to success.
