Effective Leadership of teaching and learning in the 21st century is a craft that requires an individual to not only integrate many successful past practices but to also stay on top of the latest literature and strategies. This course will provide these real opportunities as well as the chance to build a framework for your leadership potential by revisiting your educational philosophy and matching it against the Ontario biology curriculum. The ability to work with others is a critical element of leadership and is mirrored in this course through a number of collaborative activities including the design of units and key scientific concepts; presentation of seminars around topical issues in education; as well as a structured opportunity to share favourite and successful ideas.
