The second part of the Guidance and Career Education additional qualification offers students the opportunity to further develop their knowledge and apply the theoretical foundation of educational counseling, career education and school and guidance counseling. The course integrates and contextualizes the Ethical Standards of the Teaching Profession and the Standards of Practice for the Teaching Profession within the field guidance and career education. Students will further develop and apply skills associated to helping relationships. Finally, students will contextualize the guidance and career education course guideline and of the “Creating Pathways to Success” policy within a diversified population, taking into account First Nations, Metis and Inuit pupils and families.
