Building a vision for learning mathematics and using up-to-date research based strategies and curriculum to engage all learners in today’s classrooms is the focus of this course. Teachers will increase their confidence in the area of mathematics by using different strategies that support student learning. This course will help teachers become mathematically literate and gain an appreciation for mathematics in today’s world. The online format provides the flexibility of learning, while still allowing teachers to be part of a collaborative teaching environment where resources and ideas are shared back and forth.
