This Additional Qualifications Course on Student Assessment and Evaluation will provide candidates with the opportunity to explore related key documents available to all teachers in the province of Ontario: Growing Success, Learning for All, Education for All, School Effectiveness Framework: A Support for School Improvement and Student Success, K-12 (2013), curriculum documents and a number of other resources available to educators on EduGAINS (http://www.edugains.ca/) and Learn Teach Lead (http://learnteachlead.ca/).
The foundation of the course is rooted in assessment and evaluation policies in the province of Ontario and also provides candidates the opportunity to:
• explore practical application/implementation of assessment and evaluation policies
• reflect on current assessment practices
• refine professional practice and
• build a professional learning community
This Assessment and Evaluation Additional Qualifications Course supports the Ontario Ministry of Education’s key priorities (2015):
