Creating a Thinking Classroom for Primary Mathematics Part 1

Ever wonder if it is possible to have primary students engaged in inquiry in a sustained way? Or in inquiry that promotes self-regulated learning? This first session will introduce you to how you can create a primary thinking classroom in mathematics that accomplishes all of these learning goals for your students.  By the end of the session, we will have answered the following questions:

  1. What makes a thinking classroom in primary mathematics?
  2. What does a primary thinking classroom look like in mathematics across Grades 1 – 3?
