Diverse Identities and Voices in the Classics Classroom

The ancient Greek and Roman worlds were highly diverse and included a wonderful spectrum of cultures, peoples, religious beliefs, and identities, a variety which is often misunderstood or underestimated today. This webinar will explore elements of the curriculum in Latin and Classics with a particular focus on identifying key opportunities to discuss diversity in gender and sexual identities, ethnicity, and culture. Participants will also have opportunities to share authentic ideas, resources, and considerations for new or refreshing ways, in multiple subjects, to support all of our students in seeing themselves reflected in the curriculum and in feeling valued in our classrooms.
