Le Programme des pages est une expérience unique éducative pour les élèves ontariens de 7e ou 8e année qui leur offre une opportunité de travailler dans la Chambre législative et d’explorer l’histoire et les traditions de l’Assemblée législative.

Le programme est destiné aux élèves exceptionnels qui participent activement à diverses activités parascolaires, et démontrent un sens de responsabilité et des qualités de chef. C’est une expérience où les pages de l’Assemblée législative observeront l’Assemblée législative en action et rencontreront des politiciens et de hauts fonctionnaires. Ils apprendront de première main le fonctionnement du parlement de l’Ontario. Les pages noueront aussi des liens d’amitié durables avec d’autres élèves provenant des quatre coins de la province.

A unique hands-on learning opportunity at the Legislative Assembly of Ontario. The Legislative Page Program brings Grade 7 and 8 students from every corner of the province to Queen’s Park where they work directly with MPPs in the legislative Chamber. Students gain a strong sense of engagement, independence and a thorough understanding of the legislative process from this three to four week program. Pages can see the legislature in action, walk down the halls of Queen’s Park to deliver messages and interact with a variety of parliamentary officers such as the Speaker and the Clerk.

The City of Toronto has developed resource guides on municipal elections for Grade 5, ESL and Grade 10 teachers who are interested in teaching government, democracy and citizenship in an engaging and fun way. The lessons and activities are designed to teach students that as residents of Toronto we should be informed and curious about how our local government functions as municipalities are the most accessible to us and provide vital services that directly impact our daily lives.
